Realize that perhaps the ending has not yet been written.

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

Super simple result of messing with GarageBand for a few hours. It’s repetitive, but only because I had so much playing that simple chord structure :)

A quick audio experiment I did tonight. All done with one guitar looped on itself a few times (4 layers I think?) Let me know what you think.

P.S, definitely inspired by a certain Zelda tune ;)

I am not crazy about [video]. For one thing, I like to know that it takes two people to carry a film to a movie theater because the cans are so heavy. But when I sit down upstairs and just pull out a cassette of Close Encounters — and I know what went into it, tears and blood and four years of my life — and I can hold it in one hand, and hold it for two years without my hand getting tired because it doesn’t weigh anything — there’s something about that that bothers me. I think what I am trying to say is that I believe in showmanship.
— Steven Spielberg, regarding his standpoint on home video in 1985. I find it even more interesting when applying it to today, 25 years later.

So many feathers..

Elaine and I just recently got back from the annual SF pillow fight held in Embarcadero Plaza, a most excellent way to spend a Valentine’s Day evening I think. It was just as big as it’s always been; the crowd only seems to increase every year, which means more feathers in the air, an even bigger circle of observers with persistently flashing cameras, and a wider variety of hilarious costumes. There was a girl in a fat suit dressed as a princess. Amazing. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fat_Princess anyone?) Plenty of drunken buffoons were about who didn’t remember the no-hitting-people-with-cameras rule. Worry not, I defended my Nikon valiantly!

Pictures are soon to come as soon as I get my hands on my camera battery charger again. I got plenty of awesome shots and video, but I wish I could have gotten more!

There are essentially two schools of thought: technological determinism and — oooh, chocolate cake!
